Happy Friday 5! Meet people where they are, not where you want them to be.  Change is a personal journey of achievement, acceptance and commitment. Supporting that journey is a selfless act.  Helping someone means you move from a position of what they need to enact change, not force on them what you want to see. Here are 5 ways to support someone...

  1. Make sure your support comes from a genuine place.
  2. Ask what they need instead of telling them what you want.
  3. Don't judge or respond out of your own experience. Listen.
  4. Accept where they are. 
  5. And check where you are. Make sure your own house is in order so that you don't project your ills on someone else's progress.
